Description

Let me introduce myself a little.

My name is Vivian, and I am currently living in a country in the Asia Pacific region. I have AML experience with three international banks: HSBC, Deutsche Bank, and MUFG, as well as experience with one of the world's leading blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure providers. I am also a CAMS certified professional.

Therefore, I completely understand how you may feel when studying for the CAMS exam.

Don't worry. I have been there too.

You cannot memorize everything even after studying a lot, especially Chapter 2.

Reading pages of long content can make you feel sleepy.

Taking mock tests does not always help if there are no detailed explanations.

I know there are many candidates who struggle to pass the CAMS exam because they lose patience or concentration. In my opinion, based on my own experience, the ACAMS exam is not as difficult as exams such as CFA or ACCA. However, it still requires you to understand and review all the key knowledge in the study guide.

This test includes 220 questions covering all chapters in the textbook:

Chapter 1: Risks and Methods of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing

Chapter 2: International AML and CFT Standards

Chapter 3: Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Compliance Programs

Chapter 4: Conducting and Responding to Investigations

Chapter 5: Glossary of Terms

There are several types of questions in this test, including Yes or No questions, situational questions, multiple choice questions, multiple select questions, and fill in the blank questions.

Most importantly, every question includes a clear answer with detailed explanations. The explanations also point out which parts of the study guide you should review.

This test is designed not only to help you review your knowledge but also to prepare you for the psychological demands of the exam.

Practice makes perfect.

Here are some study tips that I hope will help you pass the CAMS exam.

1. Read the study guide at least three times.

First time: Read through the entire study guide. It is completely normal if you cannot remember everything because there is a large amount of content. However, try your best to understand the key concepts.

Second time: After gaining a general understanding, summarize each chapter in your own words. Highlight the content that you consider important or difficult to remember.

Third time: Review your summaries and try to memorize the key concepts. After that, take the mock test. If you get a question wrong, go back to the study guide and review only the related content.

2. I know many people say that the questions in the glossary chapter are quite easy, so they choose to ignore or skim through them.

No. Try to understand and remember the questions and answers in this section. Believe me, you will be glad that you did when you take the real exam.

3. When taking the exam, make sure you read each question carefully.

Be prepared for a significant number of long, scenario based questions. Take your time to understand the facts and identify exactly what the question is asking before selecting your answer.

4. I know many test takers have years of experience in AML and therefore choose to ignore the study guide and rely mainly on their professional experience.

Do not do this.

Professional experience is valuable, but it can also be subjective. The CAMS exam tests your understanding of the concepts and materials covered in the study guide, so experience alone is not enough.

In my opinion, the study guide is extremely important.

You can focus less on some of the optional e learning materials on the CAMS website, but I recommend reviewing the sample questions because they can help you become familiar with the style of the exam.

Most importantly, make sure you understand the study guide before taking the exam.

Good luck with your CAMS preparation. I hope these questions and explanations will help you feel more confident and better prepared for exam day.
