The single greatest obstacle to get to anyone you ever want to connect with is fear. If you are fearful, your fear will be felt. You will come across as weak, afraid, and people will want to avoid you. You must have confidence in yourself.

The best way to build confidence in yourself is to be proud of where you came from and be willing to share with others. You must also have an indepth knowledge of your product or service and how they can help people.

Also, don’t be intimidated by anyone. The all powerful Oz was an image. Pull back the curtain and he was just a regular guy. Everyone of the superstars are just normal people. People are just people.

I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. ... The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.”

Go with a positive Attitude. One that attracts people.

Your Attitude

People like people like themselves. If you can make them feel comfortable, like they are talking to a friend and build rapport with them, then you can hold their attention. More on Rapport later in the course.

You are naturally a taker

You are consciously looking to get

To give without the attachment of getting takes conscious thought

You do not do this naturally.

To give first, you need to take an interest first. Focus on them and what they might want.

Preview 08:25

Buy first, show up to events they put on, Deposit first into them.

What other value can you provide?

Volunteer. Connect. Support.

Give them what they want (within reason).

Use your network wisely and only for the right person at the right time for the right cause

Be very careful and purposeful when making withdrawals

Provide Value
08:53

You don't always give to get

It's not always 1-on-1

You’ll find that the more you give though, the more you’ll get.
