Have you ever been to a networking event and thought to yourself, "WOW!  This is fantastic!"  Or did you get the opposite reaction of, "WOW!  That was horrible!"  Regardless of how you felt, why did you go?  What was your reason or attending?  And was it worth your time?

If you're in a job that requires you to "sell" your services like a financial advisor, recruiting or staffing services, insurance, or an attorney, then you're told to go out and network; meet people; introduce yourself; and of course, get new clients.

If you're starting your own business like network marketing, products manufacturing, or consulting and coaching, then you're told to go network and meet people; introduce yourself; and of course, and of course, get new clients.

If you are new to an area, you might want to go networking to meet people; introduce yourself, and of course, get involved.  Thought I was going to say get new clients didn't you?

Fact of the matter is there's a networking group for pretty much anything out there.  And the reason why people network can be as varied as the stars in the sky.

You will find that Networking Groups Are A Dime A Dozen as in there are a ton of them out there.  Understanding the different types of Networking Groups to attend and commit to will save you a ton of time and headaches.

There are several types of networking groups.  Each one has its benefits and its drawbacks.  Which one should you attend?  Well, that all depends upon what you are looking for.  This course should give you a good understanding of each one though and an idea in what to look for in different groups.  So let's begin.
