Install Visual Studio Code
Download and install the latest version from https://code.visualstudio.com
Install AL Language Extension
Open Visual Studio Code
Go to Extensions (Ctrl+Shift+X) and search for "AL Language"
Install the official extension by Microsoft
Sign up for a Business Central Sandbox Environment
Use your Microsoft account to get access to a free sandbox (via Microsoft 365 or partner portal)
Configure the AL:Go Project
Press Ctrl+Shift+P → Select AL: Go
Choose a folder and your target environment (e.g., "Microsoft cloud sandbox")
Download Symbols
Open the new project
Press Ctrl+Shift+P → Select AL: Download Symbols
Verify Successful Setup
Check if the .vscode and app.json files are created
Ensure no errors appear in your VS Code terminal
