Description

In this second course in carpentry and cabinetmaking, you will learn how to make a carpenter's bench step by step. Because you want to know more about wood, because you are interested in everything related to this beautiful trade, because you have only started working in your workshop once and you do not know how to continue but you want to know more or because you want to be a future professional.

My goal is to teach you the steps to follow to achieve your project and to assimilate the theory and practice of building a solid and practical bench.

You will see what are the necessary tools, machines and materials and how to buy them.

- A very interesting and very pleasant exercise to learn to trace with the gramil and work with saws, chisels, drilling and final sanding. So you will see all the steps to follow when carrying out a work in wood. I am adding a technical drawing in pdf of the exercise so you will learn to read a carpenter-cabinetmaker's plan.

-I also attached an exploded view with all the wood with its exact measurements and hardware that you will need.

Here I present this second course so that you know the steps to follow. Of course there is material for years if you want, it depends a lot on the time you can dedicate to it. For this reason, I will be presenting several different works and in different courses so you can learn at your own pace what you like the most. for example: how to make a box with dovetails, how to make a frame with fork assemblies, or how to make marquetry. Different courses that I will offer you from now on.

* It is highly advisable to first complete and assimilate the material from my first initiation course, so that learning will be easier for you.

Some of the courses I currently have:

-BASIC CARPENTRY AND CABINET

- MANUFACTURE YOUR CARPENTER BENCH, with technical drawing and downloadable wood cutting included.

- MAKE YOUR FIRST FURNITURE, a box with dovetails with a technical drawing and a downloadable piece of wood included.

- HOW TO GLUE THE FURNITURE, techniques and tips.

- THE ASSEMBLIES of the carpenter -joiner

- THE BASIC MARQUETRY

I hope you enjoy wood as I have been doing for more than 35 years.

All the best. Jean Baptiste Van den Heede, cabinetmaker.
