In this lecture I'm explaining who am I and why I decided to prepare a course about building your own semi-professional studios in order to make outstanding video courses with you as the main character.
This is a short overview of all elements that you need to build your semi-profesional studio. Those are:
- video recording equipment
- sound recording equipment
- video editing software
- background called greenbox or chroma key
- computer
This lecture teaches you how to build sound recording part of your studio for less than 100 USD.
To work with reasonable sound quality you need to eliminate two factors: background noises and echoes.
In order to do achieve this you need to be careful about location of your studio, position of your microphone or type of your microphone. But don't worry - even if you make a mistake the are different programmes that can help you to tweak your offer.
There are couple of things that you have to keep in mind while choosing camera for the task. When I was choosing my camera the most important thing was mobility and simplicity of the solution.
Plus I had some additional requirement that had to be fulfilled:
Proper light is very important factor of your studio success. In your studio you should strive to achieve lighting similar to ordinary daylight. This way you will look natural in your movies
Greenbox which is also called chroma key is a very important part of your studio if you want to take your students on a journey to different places. With proper software you can replace it's green colour with whatever other background you want. This way your courses can be attractive, not boring.
Quite interesting in preparing course is the art of preparing yourself for the performance. To look good you need to take care about proper clothing and make-up. It's quite easy as you will see in the video!
This short tutorial will show your website called freeimages which I'm using on the daily basis to obtain good quality, free photos for my movies.
Idea for this course was born when I found out that most of the video courses that are published online are just static pictures with bulletpoints and maybe some background music. There were only few courses here that were really high quality and really catched my attention for more than couple of minutes.
Then I asked myself why? Why people are not making professional video courses like the ones prepared by real experts on Lynda or Coursera? Why they are satisfied only with like voice track and slides. There is so much more that can be done to get students engagement. And then I started to ask even further … Is it because people think that production costs to much money? Or maybe is it to much effort? Maybe it's because lacking of proper skills? I asked this question to my friends and fellow instructors and they said all of mentioned above.
That's why I want to teach you how to overcome problems connected with lack of skill while acting in front of came & easy tricks how to montage your films without to much effort.
I want you to learn how to make really good quality movies with you as the main character and you as your unique selling point skyrocketting your students engagement - this is what this course is all about.
Imagine how much more interesting and engaging courses you can prepare if your can act in them in professional way!
