This is a course that focuses on the tips and exercises about how to manage your brush (FUDE in Japanese) for Japaese calligraphy. You will learn effective techniques and secrets of brush management.

Hi my name is Nohoh (乃鳳). I am a Japanese calligraphy (SHODO) teacher. I was born and raised in Japan but I lived in Europe for about 15 years. I have 10 years experience teaching SHODO. I have developed the Nohoh-Method of teaching SHODO, especially designed for people who don’t have any knowledge of the Japanese language.
SHODO is so beautiful and it fascinates me everyday. Because through SHODO I can not only be creative but also relaxed. I can forget daily trivial things or worrying. I can be aware of this moment and aware of myself. I can get energy and beautiful ideas ...

こんにちは、私は書道講師、乃鳳 (Nohoh)です。
日本で生まれ育ちましたが約１５年海外に暮らしました。そこでは書道道具や教材が手に入らなかったり、書道と触れ合う機会が殆どないという体験をしました。そんな状況の中でも、様々な媒体を活用し、工夫をこらしながら自分なりに書道を楽しんできました。書道は私にとって創造的な感性を養うだけでなく、心の平穏を与えてくれるもの。日本を離れて暮らす間も私の生活を日々豊かにしてくれた素晴らしい日本文化です。

１０年以上、自分で嗜むだけでなく外国人の方を対象として書道講師として活動。その経験を経て、もっと多くの方に日本の書道を楽しんでもらいたいと思うようになりました。
「日本語を全く知らない人でも書道の魅力がわかるように」と工夫を重ねながら試行錯誤の末、３０の基本線をステップバイステップで学ぶ方法 [Nohoh-Method] が生まれました。
