In the last session, we looked at the science of habit change, given you the framework to change a habit and gone into the first part of the routine and the reward of the habit loop so that you can start to change any of your bad habits. In this session, we are going to look at the vitally important difference between habits and addiction.
We all develop bad habits. Every single one of us. There's not one person I've come across during this life that is habit free. So again, be kind as we go through and study your habits. Some bad habits will have developed as a result of a prior trauma in your life. They become a coping mechanism so until we "re-wire" them

A cue is a trigger that encourages and sets you up for your habitual behaviour. The cue acts as a automatic reminder (like a little internal alarm) for the habit and makes you want to put it into action.
