Description
Once on the other side of divorce, you are different than you were before it. By examining your identity and past roles that defined you before, you now have the opportunity to gain back a part of yourself that may have been overlooked or put aside in the past. You have the chance to reconnect with yourself in a more authentic way that lends itself to feeling empowered to take more control of your life and create it in line with the vision that you now have for your future.
There are two parts to this course, Reconnecting with Self, which points you in the right direction for making changes which will move you forward, build your confidence, and encourage personal growth and authenticity.
The first step is cultivating and taking care of your personal well-being. There are four pillars of well-being: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. You will learn why its necessary to have harmony and balance among them, so that you are aware of and listen to your mind and body’s signals. When challenging feelings and emotions come up, instead of pushing them back down, you will be able to allow a space for them to come up and deal with them head on.
There is a Reconnecting With Self Rating Scale and Wheel Exercise that will help you to pinpoint exactly where you have harmony among the four pillars, and where you may need to create more balance. Additionally, included is a guide of ideas and suggestions of action steps for each pillar, if you need it.
The second step is creating a Personal Life Timeline. It gives a bird’s-eye view of the story of your life. You are able to see your life story from an objective perspective. It enables you to easily see patterns, themes, lessons, opportunities, and possibilities from the past that you may not even be aware of. This will cause you to grasp a better understanding of the influences that events, people, and circumstances that have shaped your life.
When reflecting on the past, your life story will give clues on how to make better choices going forward, see thought patterns, and see positive and negative shifts that have occurred along the way. You will learn how your past experiences are opportunities for growth and will better prepare you for facing challenges in the future. As you Reconnect With Self, you begin to embrace who you are now, and what different path you will take to become your vision for the future.

Instructor
Donna McGoff is a retired educator and counselor. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Development, Counseling and Family Studies. Presently as a certified life coach, it’s her passion to guide women in learning how to access their inner power and direct it not only to create a vision for the future but to make that vision a reality.
She guides women, like herself, to learn how to override the condition, situation, or circumstance that is keeping them stuck. It enables them to open their minds just enough so that concentration and focus move away from the challenge--to what can be done to move past it.
It doesn’t change the trauma, but that challenge no longer controls their lives—they do. Once they learn how to change their focus, thinking, and attitude, they have the power to design a life of their choosing. The intention is on believing, building, and becoming the person they are meant to be now.
Donna is the author of the book BREAK Up With The Past After Divorce ~ Create A New Relationship: Learn How to Believe, Build, and Become Your Vision for the Future., The Power of Goal Setting, (for children), a collaborative author of Life Coach’s Tool Kit, Pathways To Fulfillment, and Living With Intention.
