At 17, he embarked on a new path by immersing himself in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His dedication and prowess led to him receiving a coveted black belt in Judo in 1986, bestowed by the revered Master Alfredo Dornelles. Subsequently, in 1992, he achieved a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the esteemed Grand Master Fransisco Mansur.
