Master your jab, hook, and punches with knuckle alignment to generate snap and power; use the heavy bag as resistance training to build technique, body work, and movement.
Master the double end bag to emulate an opponent's moving angles for integrated offense and defense, including slips and body punches, with emphasis on protective gloves and high-intensity rounds.
Learn the speed bag to build rhythm, timing, and agility by practicing one-hand rhythm, then adding the other hand, syncing hand and feet for a smooth, constant flow.
Engage in boxing-specific conditioning and strength training with high-intensity jumping rope, barbies (squat press with a jump), tire drills, and medicine-ball core exercises to build endurance, power, and core stability.
Conclude your bag work by treating drills as if facing a real opponent, simulating engagement with the heavy bag and speed bag, and adopting a boxing mindset as a lefty.
