1. pwd — When you first open the terminal, you are in the home directory of your user. To know which directory you are in, you can use the “pwd” command.
2. ls — Use the "ls" command to know what files are in the directory you are in. You can see all the hidden files by using the command “ls -a”.
3. cd — Use the "cd" command to go to a directory. For example, if you are in the home folder, and you want to go to the downloads folder, then you can type in “cd Downloads”.
4. mkdir & rmdir — Use the mkdir command when you need to create a folder or a directory. For example, if you want to make a directory called “DIY”, then you can type “mkdir DIY”.
5. rm - Use the rm command to delete files and directories. Use "rm -r" to delete just the directory. It deletes both the folder and the files it contains when using only the rm command.
6. touch — The touch command is used to create a file. It can be anything, from an empty txt file to an empty zip file. For example, “touch new.txt”.
7. man & --help — To know more about a command and how to use it, use the man command. It shows the manual pages of the command. For example, “man cd” shows the manual pages of the cd command.

I created this challenge in hopes to show students how detailed you can get as a content engineer. This is a very difficult lab that can potentially be published or not. Either way, I would like to go over the content of this lab and how I created the story. You guys are going to love it! I will place the power point in the description if you want to give it a shot. I will not provide the answer keys so you will have no way of verifying if you are right or wrong. Good luck!
This is the second challenge I created with the difficulty of hard. Check out the scenario below:
Far Zenith Enterprise (FZE) is a leading cybersecurity company, based in London, UK, that has the best AI-Powered tool in the market called “God’s Eye”. This tool uses behavior detection algorithms by collecting network logs and metadata to detect and respond to attacks inside the cloud. Their clientele dominates the entire UK market since this tool brings value to many IT companies—primarily those in finance and healthcare. Their proprietary source code for their tool has been stolen by a former employee named Lukas Knight. Lukas was a Detection Engineer for FZE. These are professionals who transform information about threats into detections.
Generally, important source-level code is hidden from users (and certain employees) so that important data processing operations can’t be exploited. Lukas is a part of the Cybersecurity Department at FZE, not the Development Department. The question of how Lukas gained access to the source code can be summed up as poor IAM practices. Regarding the cybersecurity profession, effectual identity and access management policy are the core elements of a mature and competent cybersecurity program. Knowing this, Lukas probably exploited the bad access management practice that lead to capturing the source code before he abruptly departed from the company. His motives are unclear—despite that—this is a problem that can result in millions of dollars in damages.
Leak source code can enable malicious actors to identify and exploit vulnerabilities, publicize trade secrets, and blackmail software. If the public finds out about this leak, it will raise reputation concerns about FZE cybersecurity practices. This alone could bring down the company and cause 100s of employees to lose their job. From a marketing standpoint, source code leaks can raise serious questions about a company’s cybersecurity posture. From a product development standpoint, leaked source code can allow competitors to recreate core elements of code, or for threat actors to create identical applications.
We need you, as our best Threat Analyst, to investigate Lukas's suspicious activities that evaded our detection. Recently the British government produced a new mandatory reporting obligation on managed service providers (MSPs) to disclose cyber incidents. Failure to do so can result in FZE being fined up to £17 million ($20 million) for non-compliance. The public will know either way so we need a damn good story on why Lukas when rogue!
Hello, Team! I am super stoked to announce that my lab Cipher has officially been made public on the BTLO platform. This is amazing! So far it has been challenging for Pro players thus far!
