Welcome to my Course!!! In this intro, I'll be going over what you can expect! My sure to download the Course Files Linked with this Section to be able to follow along! Thanks for joining and I will see you in Chapter 1!
In this Lecture, we will be going over all of the basics of Blender including shortcuts, scene layout, and walking through a simple scene that's designed to showcase most of what you'll be doing in Blender.
Now that we know the basics, let's jump into a VFX workflow and try to match an image using CGI in Blender.
Let's take our VFX up a notch by introducing a moving camera and some complex reflections in our scene. By the end of this, you'll have a first VFX shot that you can be proud of!
This Chapter is all about Camera Tracking. We will be going over 3 examples of camera tracking. Firstly, I'll discuss the manual method of placing markers to showcase things to look out for in Camera tracking, and then we'll jump to my own personal method that will speed up the process and get you more accurate results faster.
Now that we are pros at camera tracking, let's build upon our skills and introduce planar tracking which opens up a whole realm of possibilities in Blender. In the process, we will touch on some basic compositing techniques and start to understand how the compositing workspace functions with Blender.
Let's now apply everything we've learned up until this point and make an amazing 3D CGI shot using all the tools inside of Blender. In this first part, we will be going over the camera tracking process and setting up our scene for adding in 3D objects.
Now that we have our scene set up and our camera is tracked, we can start adding in some 3D objects using the Blender Kit addon. We'll be setting up multiple passes in Blender, Lighting to match our footage, and Animating everything to give some life to our scene. Remember to check the course files for the link to the addon and I've provided a discount code if you want to get the full version!
Hurray! We are finally ready to composite everything back together and make it more realistic. The compositing process is a great way to really make your render stand out and I'll be going over a lot of different ways we can composite in Blender.
Let's review our final shot and what I would recommend doing after following this course. I'll also be breaking this shot down and showcase the possibilities if you use other programs along with Blender to get even better looking results.
