here you will learn how to add the nose mouth and ears in a way that is proportional to the head we blocked out in the first lecture.
make your character more life like by adding small details to the mouth nose and eye.
The ears are the most complex part of the mesh after the hands but in this lecture I will give you a quick and easy way to model a believable ear.
here we will finalize the head by adding the inner mouth and eyebrows.
Start blocking out the body in a similar way to how we blocked out the head.
Continue extruding the lower body.
Hands are very difficult to get right, but just as we did with the rest of the body, we will focus on creating deformable topology, then mold the shape of the hand how we like.
The final lesson concerning the hands.
Now that everything in place, we should adjust our body proportion.
create a stylized baseball cap to match our characters head.
continue modeling the baseball cap
this part is very easy as you are just duplicating parts of your mesh and modeling it to match what you have in mind, I encourage you to be creative in creating your clothes using the simple method im about to show you.
Just like the hands this could be a very complex part to get right, dont be frustrated if you dont get it right the first time and use references if need be.
this one of the most confusing parts of the character design workflow, but I made as easy as possible for beginners to get good quick results.
clothes are much easier to unwrap as clothes, as youre basically placing seams where your clothes seams should be.
Export your character to substance painter
Chose your characters base colour and block out the base albedo map
Recognize what colours should be applied to different parts of your character.
Bump maps can add a layer of realism to your character, learn how to add pore details to your character without actually adding new topology using bump maps.
SSS is used to simulate how light enters and exits through thin parts of the body.
create a stylized shirt material.
Add ripples to your clothes using bump maps
As with the shirt we will continue making materials for our clothes
Use the particle system to create believable looking hair
Will use the built in add on rigify to easily rigg our character.
continue rigging your name
Easy way to create an eye texture and particle hair for the eyebrows
Well done making it this far, here we will use the three point lighting systems and add a background to your render.
