Description

Biology is one of the most fascinating natural sciences, as it is the study of life.

How more interesting can it be, to study a course which we are an active participant in. We shall be studying life from the most primitive entity(virus) that ever lived to the most advanced evolved life on earth.

Every section, as well as Lecture promises to be great.

In this course you will learn:

  • Taxonomy: this talks about the origin of organisms, as well as how organisms are placed in the same group based on similarities.

  • Structure of cells: this talks about the different structures that makes up a cell, from the simple to the complex level.

  • Cell division: this addresses the different modes of divisions a cell can undergo,; mitosis and meiosis.

  • Autotrophic nutrition: this address is organisms that have capacity to make their own food, by using inorganic chemicals or using an inorganic source of carbon in the presence of sunlight.

  • Heterotrophic nutrition: this topic address is different mode of nutrition in animals, starting from the microscopic ones, to the most advanced ones such as humans.

  • Homeostasis: this is the regulation of the internal environment of organisms by using the human as a subject of study.

  • Nervous system: this address is how the neurones transport electrical signals around the human body. The brain and the spinal cord in the central nervous system, well the collection of nerves forms the peripheral nervous system.

  • Cardiovascular system: this talks about the collection of vessels that forms a vascular system as well as the pump which is the heart.

  • Respiratory system (gas exchange systems): this address is the different respiratory surfaces found in different organisms, and how this respiratory surface is adapted to that organisms environment.

  • Sense organs: this talks about the sense organs in humans, bleeding from the nose to the tongue, ear and eyes.

At the end of this course expect to get:

  • smarter

  • versatile

  • More confident

  • Convinced

  • Equipped after each lecture

Let the wonderful adventure begin...

The Best is in you.
