Description

Note: This course goes beyond basic Revit commands. You will model and calculate sprinkler systems in Revit using a custom template and families, with full NFPA 13 alignment and no plugins. Based on real MEP projects, you will create print-ready deliverables and ensure smooth BIM coordination.

Key questions this course will answer:

  1. What is the difference between someone who only places sprinkler symbols and a fire protection designer who performs hydraulic calculations, applies NFPA 13 spacing, and manages coordination directly in Revit?

  2. How can hazard groups, obstruction rules, design density, and area of operation in Sprinkler System in Revit reduce redesigns and improve installation accuracy?

  3. What skills are required to produce hydraulic reports, pipe sizing, hanger modeling, and clash detection in Revit (no plugins) at a professional level?

In SPRINKLER, you will work through a real project from template setup to layout, hydraulic calculation, reports and schedules, and BIM coordination. Everything is done in Revit—from pipe routing and slopes to pipe supports and hangers, and clash detection with architectural and structural models. The goal is to give you a project-ready, NFPA 13–aligned workflow that produces deliverables ready for submission, without extra software, and compatible with Revit 2020 and later.
