Description

The  BIM & Civil 3D Practical Projects: Roads & Railways course is a comprehensive, hands-on training designed to bridge the gap between traditional road design methods and the new era of BIM-based infrastructure engineering.

This course takes participants on a complete, practical journey — from data collection and digital terrain modeling to corridor design, analysis, and BIM integration — all using Autodesk Civil 3D as the core platform. You will learn how to model, design, and manage complex road projects, including mountain, urban, and highway scenarios, while applying industry-proven BIM workflows for collaboration and information management.

Throughout the course, you’ll work on real-world project datasets, not theoretical exercises. Each module is built around a live case study that simulates how professional consultants and contractors deliver road projects in real environments. You’ll gain experience preparing alignments, profiles, and assemblies, performing cut-and-fill analysis, designing intersections, generating dynamic cross-sections, and producing full construction documentation ready for approval.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a complete BIM-integrated road project, with deliverables that include 3D models, detailed drawings, and quantity take-offs. This training equips you with the technical and practical skills required to confidently deliver road projects that meet global engineering and BIM standards, making you job-ready for top infrastructure firms and government projects.

Who this course is for:

  • Civil engineers & road design engineers
  • BIM coordinators & modelers in infrastructure projects
  • Technical office engineers involved in road projects
  • Students & graduates aiming to enter transportation design firms
