A 2-minute welcome to this course, Biblical Hebrew for the Novice. This course gives you access to the content of a book on this subject and walks you through the categories of biblical Hebrew without all the memorization.
An 11-minute look at the vowels of biblical Hebrew. These were added to the bottom and top of the Hebrew letters in the Middle Ages to help readers know which sounds accompanied the letters in reading. Also covered are some of the other key "pointing" such as the dagesh, which doubled a letter.

A 23-minute overview of how to do a word study with the Hebrew Bible especially in view. If we're going to learn about Hebrew, we need to know how words work.

The possibilities for learning Hebrew have changed dramatically since I first learned it over thirty-five years ago. Even a decade ago it was much more difficult to do what is now possible given everything available online. There are now so many free tools online just waiting for us to use!
In this course, I teach the meaning of biblical Hebrew without having to memorize all the Hebrew forms. Languages are messy. They are full of irregularities and all sorts of things you have to memorize. But with the tools now available, you can learn all the core dimensions of Hebrew without memorizing all the many forms.
The course not only has videos but PDF excerpts from a book that I have published with the same name. If you have questions, you know where to find me!
