Meet your bellydance teacher and begin the first bellydance lesson for beginners. Enjoy the journey as you start learning the seven basic steps.
Meet your bellydance instructor, a former Olympic gymnast with a rich background in flamenco, samba, circus arts, and international dance, inspiring beginners to start with the seven basic steps.
Explore the Baladi rhythm, a classical bellydance beat from Cairo that enables improvisation with music, as Baladi is the name of a musical piece with a distinctive boom pattern.
Begin with a basic, essential warm-up before any physical activity, guiding breathing and gentle movements to connect with the body, loosen the legs, and prepare for bellydance practice.
Explore step three, the hip box, in bellydance for beginners. Move the hips separately from the torso, draw box lines with the hips, and bend the knees slightly for ease.
Master small, medium, and large hip circles with grounded feet, pelvis aligned, and relaxed upper body and hair as you flow through the circles.
Practice the step five basic bellydance move by bending your knees, positioning your pelvis, and alternating the right and left feet with an up-and-down motion.
Learn the bellydance basic step by coordinating hands and feet, starting with one hand on the head and the other pointing outward, while rotating sides and moving the head.
Master step #6 lateral hip bump in bellydance for beginners by following step-by-step guidance and practicing a strong hip movement.
Learn the hip prep and simple hip drop by lifting the hip slowly and then dropping it to release, with knees bent and the foot pointed, as the final choreography.
Stretching after workouts improves flexibility, helps prevent muscle pain, and promotes relaxation by guiding breathing and gentle movements for the neck, back, hips, and legs.
Learn steps 1–3 of bellydance basics: perform hand side-to-side and up movements, switch hands four times on the beat, turn around, then arm up-downs and a small circle.
Learn steps 7, 8 and 9 in bellydance for beginners, practicing basic step patterns front to corner to corner, snake arms, circles, and a turn around.
Create and perform the final bellydance choreography with your own personality, enjoying the movements, feeling sexy, and having fun.
Thank students for choosing me as their belly dance teacher and invite them to learn the basic steps, practice daily, and prepare for the next step.
