Before we start to learn how to perform BBH I would like to tell you what main healing principles are.

First healing rule is to understand that human beings are more than just physical bodies. Physical symptoms such as better blood circulation, increased body temperature, improved digestion and released tension and pain from the body, are being recognised almost immeditely after BBH. As you do healing, the small intestine moves more vigorously, improving the blood flow in the small intestine and throughout the whole body. It warms the area, which assist blood circulation. You can feel it because 40 percent of your body’s entire blood volume flows through the abdominal organs.

The organ that is stimulated directly when you press your belly button is your small intestine, it is located directly behind the navel. So when you stimulate your navel, your intestines also start working a bit faster. The digestion, excration of waste and detoxification functions are being improved. Good digestion and smooth bowel activity happen when the abdomen is warm.

Another benefit of BBH is relaxing tension in muscles and connective tissue. Fascia is a connective tissue that surrounds muscles, blood vessels, and nerves. The Spiral Line is one that runs through most of the body, connecting shoulders, back, hips, and legs and crossing at the belly button. Stimulating the belly button and releasing tension there, can help reduce fascial tension in many other parts of the body.

According to eastern medicine our skin has holes through which energy enters and leaves our bodies. These are called meridian points or energy points, and they are used for healing. One of these points is a navel. The navel lies on the meridian called conception meridian which is located on a central line at the front of the upper body. When you press belly button you can improve the energy flow in the whole body. It is possible because once your create warmth in the lower abdomen the hot energy in the core pushes the cold energy from the kidneyes up to the brain through the Governor Meridian, which is on a central line at the back of the body. Cold energy flows on the spine up to your head cooling it down. Such state we call Water Up, Fire Down and it is being seen as a healthy and balanced state of body and mind.

BBH method consists of several stages. The first step is a preparation and warm up. Preparation consists of exercises for relaxation and softening the whole body. If you decide to do BBH without warming up you may feel stiffness and discomfort during touching and massaging the navel. To avoid the pain it is good to start the whole routine with few exercises. I recommend you the exercise which warms up and relaxes whole body very quickly. It is so called whole body vibration.

Thanks to this practice your muscles, joints and internal organs will relax almost immeditaly. After this stage we move to the second step which is warming up only abdominal area. To warm up stomach and area around the navel we do such exercises as abdomen tapping and intestine stretching. They both are some kind of fitness exercises for your internal organs and they make your abdomen soft and warm. The third stage of BBH are breathing exercises. Breathing practice supports energy flow between body and mind and makes the mind more focused on healing process.

Breathing through the navel is one of the breathing techniques I will be teaching you during this course. After the preparation: whole body warm up, abdominal warm up and breathing you will be ready to massage your navel and do the healing through this point. For safety please do BBH through some clothing and never on a bare skin. Please check your nails to be short. BBH focuses on pressing the navel or surrounding areas if touching a navel is painful.

You press on the belly button and direct the pressure first straight up to your chest and head. Simply imagine your navel is like a clock face and 12 o’clock is pointing your head. We will practice together how to do BBH clockwise direction. The last stage of the process is taking some time to rest. The healing session will improve the energy flow. Both body and mind need a bit of time to adjust to the new condition and to remove stagnant energy, that’s why it is highly recommended to rest at the end of the procedure.


Stages of Belly Button Healing

It is recommended to do BBH daily. In the morning it will bring you more energy and better focus. In the evening it will give you a calm and relaxed mind. You can do Belly Button Healing at any time, but it’s best to avoid doing it immediately after a meal. Personally, I recommend it after you wake up, when you feel weak or tired and need vitality, and when you want to calm your mind and need to focus. It’s also good if your body feels tense and you need to relax your body and mind before going to sleep. If you’re wondering how much time it takes: I advise you to make a minimum 20 minutes available for the practice. Massaging the navel takes around 5 minutes, but we must do the warm up before and relaxation afterwards. Always bear in mind safety. Doing it directly on to the skin may cause irritation and reddening. Please do BBH through some clothing. Make sure that your hands and nails are clean, and that your fingernails are short and smooth enough that they will not harm you. Do not perform Belly Button Healing if you are pregnant, have a weak vascular systems, have had abdominal surgery which has not yet healed, or have injuries near your navel. If you have any doubts or questions about your medical condition, please consult your doctor before you start BBH. I recommend this method for creating inner change and for maintaining an inner state of health and balance. BBH is almost like brushing your teeth. You do it every day, right? Let’s begin the warm-up. Whole body vibration will relax your joints, muscles and internal organs. Please stand up and bring your feet parallel shoulder width apart. Straighten your back and relax your shoulders. Start gently bouncing your knees. When you gently bounce your knees, your feet should be glued to the floor. You can feel your toes, heels and centre of your feet. You can feel how your calves and thighs slowly relax, keep shaking your thighs. Relax your buttocks and hips. Feel your whole legs. Your legs are gently vibrating but your feet are still glued to the floor which makes you feel safe and balanced. Start feeling your abdomen. Relax your stomach and your back. Start shaking your stomach and intestines. All your internal organs start vibrating. Relax your chest and start moving your shoulders up and down. When you shake your shoulders, relax your elbows, wrists and hands and shake your palms. Feel that your whole body is vibrating. Breathe in and out. Feel your whole body become more and more relaxed. Keep breathing in and out. Now move your hands to the sides. Open your chest and shake your palms, feel your shoulders, the core of your body and legs. All your muscles become softer, your joints become more flexible. And all your internal organs become warmer. Bring your hands down, keep gently moving your body. Now slowly stop. Bend your knees, relax your back, feel the tingling sensation throughout your whole body. The energy is flowing down to your toes and fingers and all your cells are vibrating. You may feel tingling, warmth and relaxation. Breathe in and out. Again, breathe in and out.

Abdominal Stretching is an intestinal exercise which involves repeatedly pulling and pushing your lower belly in and out, releasing tension throughout your abdomen and promoting intestinal health.  With many repetitions, it also increases your core muscle strength, helping to keep your body aligned. This exercise stimulates your intestinal peristalsis, improving your energy and blood circulation. It is a healing method along with Belly Button Massage.
