Leverage your own motivations to become more assertive by making the pain of not acting greater than the pain of conflict, and establish boundaries to protect your time.
Learn to optimize your environment and mindset to boost momentum and focus, using two executing assumptions about obstacles and progress, and building a supportive network.
Learn to apply two pragmatic executing assumptions—things will go wrong and will take longer—to build resilience, acceptance, and sustained effort across actions like exercise and assertiveness.
Adopt negative assumptions that you will take longer to assert yourself and perform worse initially, to harden resilience and stay committed as you grow, despite early fluctuations.
Master supporter selection to manage the power balance during your transformation, attract new supporters while others distance or oppose you, and build an accountability mastermind group for lasting change.
Explore cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) through journaling to map triggers, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Learn to intervene at any stage with a simple four-column journal to promote lasting behavioral change.

Practice immersion in the community of your goal to learn how others achieve results, and pursue high-intensity goals and sprints to accelerate your transformation journey.
Embrace spontaneity to accelerate transformation by changing routines or rewarding yourself spontaneously. These spontaneous rewards and context changes refresh motivation and break through complacency.
Explore how mindset shapes your transformation, including permissions, expectations, and visualizing success, and learn to apply visualization and expectation theory to sustain motivation and progress.
Visualize your ideal, assertive self who defends interests without aggression, daily for five minutes, rehearsing scenarios to say no and resist distractions. Build an implementation intention with clear, ready wording.
Celebrate and acknowledge moments of standing up for yourself to build your identity. Recharge after boundary setting to reinforce your identity as the person who protects their interests.
Being an example fuels transformation by serving a bigger purpose beyond yourself, inspiring others, and leveraging social accountability through case studies, progress sharing, and visible results.

Explore how to manage negative emotions and overcome setbacks through two techniques: changing your state to stay resourceful, and emotional discharge to achieve peace of mind and maintain progress.
Learn how to shift from negative to positive states by changing physiology through power poses and using high quality questions and implementation intentions to stay resourceful and persistent.
Discharge negative emotions through catharsis to regain momentum: use absorb-and-release or letter-writing patterns to gain closure, then move on with renewed resolve.
Discharge negative emotions to prevent bottling and reactive outbursts. Use a five-minute indulging pattern or write a letter to fully feel and then let go, starting each interaction anew.
Explore how to bounce back from doubt and emotions, become an example for others by changing your state and discharging feelings, celebrate successes, and navigate roadblocks on your transformation journey.
Outline a three-stage roadmap for personal transformation—definition, execution, resilience—emphasizing goal setting, identity, decision with emotion, and overcoming obstacles.

In this course, we are going to cover the psychology of your transformation towards becoming more assertive. This is a course that is not that focused on the actual techniques and practical skills, but the mindset. In other words, if you already know what you have to do logically, but for some reason, you can't get yourself to do it (maybe it's your emotions, maybe you don't deal well with setbacks, or others), then this is the course for you.
Our goal with this course is to cover the psychology of personal transformation. In other words, how to get you to change your behavior. We will be exploring three main phases:
- Definition (knowing what your specific goals are, your timeline, making a decision);
- Executing (actually starting to draw boundaries, having the right mindset and supporters, among other things);
- Resilience (knowing how to properly discharge negative emotions, as well as change your state when you find yourself in a negative one);
The course contains multiple techniques related to psychology, behavior change, and other areas, all applied to help you become more assertive, speaking up more and defending yourself when others try to abuse your time.
By the end of this course, you will know how to cultivate the necessary habits and behaviors to become more assertive in the long-term, not being derailed by obstacles, and always performing at your best.
