Description

Anyone working with or raising children is bound to run into some behavioral issues at some point. Hitting, spitting, eloping, defiance, or maybe just being off task. All of these behaviors can make you feel like giving up, but you can learn to manage them. Even if your child or student has been diagnosed with a behavioral disorder (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Emotional Behavioral Disorder, etc.), the lessons in this course can help. This course will teach you the dos and don'ts so that you can minimize the problem behaviors and increase the harmony between you and your kiddo(s). Regardless of the child's age or abilities, we will figure out where these behaviors are coming from, and appropriate consequences to address them. We address functional behavior analyses, behavior intervention plans and data tracking procedures that you and the child might encounter in an educational setting. We also talk about how to implement these strategies with the other adults in the child's life, as well as tools for you to keep calm and motivated when times get tough. This course is appropriate for teachers, parents, and anyone else that wants a better relationship with the kids in their life.

Who this course is for:

  • This course is great for anyone who is caring for children. Whether you're a parent, babysitter, daycare provider, teacher, coach, or anything else in between.
