Welcome to this course on ‘Aircraft Structures’.

This is the biography of William BG Harvey who is the founder of Digital Aviation Training Ltd, he has considerable experience in the aviation-training sector. He was employed as a Flight Crew Ground and Fixed Based Simulator Instructor for Saudi Arabian Airlines at the Prince Sultan Aviation Academy in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. There he taught airline pilots the intricacies of the Boeing 747-400 and MD-90 aircraft. He received his instructor training at Flight Safety Boeing, Long Beach California on the MD-90, and in Jeddah for the B747-400 aircraft with Saudi Arabian Airlines. He is the holder of a Commercial Pilots License and Instrument Rating.
Experience in Aviation E-Learning
William also has considerable experience in the aviation e-learning training marketplace, having been the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the MD-90 Computer Based Training course produced in Paris, France for Saudi Arabian Airlines. When employed by Thales, Training and Simulation, he was an Instructional Designer and Developer on the Tornado GR4 pilot training courseware for the UK Royal Air Force. He has designed and developed pilot courseware for the Malaysian Airline Academy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, whilst employed at TRO Learning, latter acquired by Vega, Commercial Aviation Division.
University Qualifications
William is a graduate of Edinburgh University with an M.Sc in Design and Digital Media. A graduate of The Glasgow School of Art, with an M.Des in Animation, and finally a graduate of Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, with an M.Sc in Human Computer Interaction
