This course is geared to drone pilots who are just starting to learn about autonomous drone flight. As noted in the title, this is a beginners course. We'll be talking about DJI's Ground Station Pro flight app. Students should be aware, this particular flight application only works on iPads. It does not work with iPhones or Android devices.
In this class we'll learn how to setup flights for 2 dimensional models, 3 dimensional models, and automated flight paths that can be used over and over again. Students will also learn that creating complex automated flights can take some time to prepare. However, the time invested is worthwhile if you're interested in creating re-usable flights for timelapsed photography and video. Ground Station Pro works well for applications like Drone Construction Progression Reporting.

Instructor
Since 1994 Rich has been involved in the telecommunications industry. While doing graduate work in economics he wrote a Master's Thesis on the economics of digital networks. And while researching how digital networks really work, Rich realized that network engineering was more interesting than Economics.
For a decade Rich worked in wireless telecommunications on the network engineering and operations side with Sprint PCS, AT&T Wireless, and US Cellular. Rich was often sent to training courses with equipment vendors and then created internal training courses for other engineers and technicians he worked with.
Since 2006 Rich has been working independently on website development, search engine optimization, and stunning photography. He's tied his network engineering knowledge together with more artistic endeavors in order to create RLC Design Services. And now he's bringing some of his skill set to Udemy. If you're interested in effective website development, SEO, photography, and drone photography keep an eye on Rich's new course offerings.
