Requirements

  • A basic understanding of Aperture, Shutter Speed, and Exposure Compensation settings on their camera
  • A DSLR or Mirrorless camera that allows the user to manually adjust Aperture & Shutter Speed
  • A DSLR or Mirrorless camera that has a built-in flash OR an external flash that attaches to the camera

Description

In this follow-up to our Beginner Digital Photography class (which covers exposure, aperture and shutter speed), this class covers:

- how you can use ISO to take better pictures in low light environments 

- how to use your flash so that your images look naturally lit instead of that awful “flash” look with overexposed subjects and bright backgrounds 

- how you can use white balance to help you take better portraits

You WILL need a flash for this class. If your camera came with a built-in flash, that is sufficient. You are also welcome to use an external flash if you have one

Who this course is for:

  • Students who have already completed our Beginner Course (for Canon, Nikon, or General cameras)
  • Students who understand and are comfortable manipulating Aperture, Shutter Speed, and Exposure Compensation
