The Asalato (or banakula, kasskass, patica and at least a dozen other names) is an incredible instrument from West Africa. Once you pick it up it's hard to put down! Whether you're a professional musician or you've never played an instrument in your life- this course will take you on a sweet journey with the world's most unique percussive instrument and the world of rhythms, patterns and coordination challenges that it opens up.

Instructor
I'm a musician, teacher and performer based in Jerusalem. I've been playing a wide variety of instruments and styles since I was 4 years old but my life changed when I met the asalato!
With over 10 years of teaching experience and studies all over the globe, I'm here to make the asalato as accessible, fun and satisfying to as many people as possible.
