Beginner Bass Guitar Lessons: A Complete Guide

Exercises that will continue to expand the strength, stretching capability and independence in your fingers. They will improve your overall technique and help you tackle future songs that are included in these lessons.

A classic bass riff, that is great fun to play! And a perfect one for beginners to get confident with.

These are highly valuable! We will scratch the surface of what can be a very in-depth area - and will then utilise this initial knowledge to learn how to discover every note that exists on the fretboard and how to identify what notes you are playing.

Once we are aware of the notes that exist up and down our fretboard, we can start to take certain combinations of these to construct keys of music. Here, we will begin to learn how that happens - and will cover two scales that help improve our playing technique and take our overall playing ability to the next level.

Here we will cover 3 very important techniques that add a ton of creative possibility to your playing - as well as continuing to improve your overall musicianship. They are 'Hammer-On's, Pull-Off's and Slides'

We cover two great songs in this class that will incorporate the techniques we learnt in the previous lesson.

 A great technique that will add another dimension to your playing ability - and also give you further options when considering how to compose your own music.

This is a very important topic to cover and will provide you with the basic understanding of how music is constructed. We will learn about metronomes, discuss tempo and time changes and practice along to live demonstrations.

A section I love and something I am very passionate about! You will combine all of the above and use this to start to consider how you can compose your own music. I firmly believe that everyone has the ability to do this. Once you have learnt a collection of songs and techniques, you can begin to transform these into your own unique compositions, just by making very simple changes.
