This course is an experiential journey, paced over a minimum of 4 weeks. Each week you will learn new teachings about a different aspect of Huna, and you will also learn how to perform a series of practices for your daily ritual. These will include:
Mirror Work
Breathwork
Chanting
Pendulum Work
Meditation
This section will introduce your instructor.
This section will explain the system of Huna and what it is.
In Huna we use something called the "HA Breath". We typically do 40 before every prayer, but in a rush we can do one round of four breaths. The reason we breath before every prayer is that in Huna we believe that this is what is needed to make prayer happen. Breathing adds in the life force or mana to prayer.
Some subtle points to be aware of:
In Huna we do usually 40 HA breaths, or 10 rounds of 4 deep breaths. As explained in the video we follow the timing of 4 seconds inhale, 4 seconds hold, and 4 sections exhale. On the exhale it is important to say " EHA" after the completion of 4 breaths or 1 round. This acts as a mark that you have completed 1 set of 4 HA breaths
There are many ways to keep track of your breathing such as using beads or your fingers. One example with beads would be to make a necklace with 40 beads with a marker every four. This allows you to count keep track of your breaths.
Chanting is a way to increase the energy in a physical space by creating a certain reverberance. Listen or follow along with the E HO MAI chant.

We use the pendulum as a tool to communicate between the three selves. In this case you practice how to measure mana charges. In this video, I explain how to practice the Pendulum Protocol.
Please note that we have isolated the Pendulum work for ease of learning, but the Pendulum Protocol should be integrated into each weeks daily ritual as follows
Daily Ritual
Pendulum Protocol
Checking in with your Aunihipili ensuring it has no interference
Measuring the Mana (Standing Charge of Mana)
BreathWork (HA Breath)
Chanting
Measuring the Mana (Surcharge of Mana)
Meditation (Auhane)
Measuring the Mana (Standing Charge of Mana)
Some subtle pointes to be aware of:
In Huna there is a difference between a person's Standing Charge of Mana, and a Surcharge of Mana. A Standing Charge of Mana is a person's natural mana or energy level that they operate at normally. This is the measurement as seen above before and after doing work in the Pendulum Protocol. A Surcharge of Mana is when there is mana accumulated through the HA Breath as measured after the breathing in the Pendulum Protocol.
Follow along to this week's Auhane Guided Meditation. The script is available in PDF form under "Downloadable Files".
