Description
Yes, you can develop your assertiveness. Assertiveness is not a personality trait that you missed out on, but a set of principles and skills that anyone can learn and apply in their daily lives. Including you. And you can enjoy the benefits today in just over an hour by taking this course.
The course aims to deliver simple, basic assertive techniques for anyone who finds themselves struggling to be properly assertive with others – maybe this is because you allow people to walk all over you, or maybe it is because you find yourself becoming angry and argumentative when attempting to assert your views.
So take this course now if you would like to learn some practical, useful strategies to improve your interactions with others and communicate more confidently.
This training will give you tools and techniques to speak up when something is upsetting or annoying you, to state your needs and wants appropriately, to stand your ground, to say no confidently and to defend your rights appropriately. This practical how-to guide is packed with relevant examples and useful activities to embed learning.
And the results are life enriching: better communication, more authentic relationships, more confidence and increased self esteem.
I’m Sue O’Connell and I have run self development groups for trainee counsellors for many years. I have seen the empowering effect that these assertiveness techniques have had on my students and their lives. And how especially powerful they have been when followed by activities to help embed the principles. For this reason the course includes activities in which you can actively participate.
I hope the practical emphasis of my course will give you strategies that you can put into effect right away so that by the end of the course you will be better able to communicate your needs wants, opinions and feelings to others in an authentic, confident way. The tools and techniques presented are your weapons for warding off the manipulative, selfish demands of others, and they give you a framework for communication that helps maintain appropriate boundaries and is respectful.
