Welcome to the Amazon Influencer Method course! If you've ever gotten excited about a product and immediately wanted to tell everyone you know, this course is for you. Let's turn your passion for great finds into a side income – or even a full-time career.
In this training, we'll lay the foundation: you'll discover if the Amazon Influencer Program is right for you, how to pick your specialty, and get your social media prepped for influencer success.
EXTRA: Be sure to check the "ADDITIONAL CONTENT" for more learnings!
Welcome to Module 1 of the Amazon Influencer Method! If you're excited about turning your passion for products into a side hustle, you're in the right place. Let's start with the basics – what exactly IS the Amazon Influencer Program?
In a nutshell, this program lets you earn commissions when people buy products you recommend on Amazon. Products like your laptop, computer, clothes, beauty products, games, landscape tools, just to name a few.
You're basically the cool friend with all the inside scoop on the best stuff. It's different from the general Amazon Associates program because it's focused on social media influence, not running a website or blog.
Before we dive in, let's make sure you're eligible. Amazon's looking for a few things:
You need an active social media presence – this could be YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook business page... it's up to you.
At the time of this recording, Amazon recommended having at least 1,000 followers on your social media accounts. I would recommend having at least 3,000 just to be safe. I say this because this is what works for my students.
Also, I would recommend using IG - again this is what my students and I focused on and what we’ve used in the past that also worked for us. But like I said earlier, you can choose any platforms you’d like as long as you have an active account and engagement on the account you decide to share with Amazon.
Again, you don't need a giant celebrity following, but you do need engaged and active followers who trust your judgment.
Pros and Cons -
Let's get real: pros include free products, early access, and flexible income potential.
Cons: it takes effort, not everyone gets approved, and income consistency relies on you.
You should be located in a country where the program is active like the USA, Canada, Europe, etc.. Best thing to do is apply online to check if your country is eligible.
The Influencer Program is currently available in the following countries:
US: Amazon.com Influencer Program http://amazon.com/influencers
UK: Amazon.co.uk Influencer Program http://amazon.co.uk/influencers
IN: Amazon.in Influencer Program https://amazon.in/influencers
CA: Amazon.ca Influencer Program http://amazon.ca/influencers
Okay, so why put in the effort? Here's the fun part:
Earn Money: We'll talk about the specifics later, but the potential to turn your recommendations into cash is awesome.
Free Products: Sometimes, brands may send you products to review for free, hoping to tap into your audience.
Grow Your Brand: Consistently putting out valuable product content builds your personal brand and could open other opportunities.
Ready to get started? The application process is straightforward. We'll do a full, step-by-step walkthrough together. Make sure you have your social media account handy, and here's what to expect:
Provide profile information
Connect your social media accounts
Give insights into the kind of content you create and your audience

Welcome to Lesson 1.2! Picking your niche is one of the most crucial decisions you'll make as an Amazon Influencer. Your niche basically defines where you'll shine and helps you attract the right audience...aka, potential buyers
Why does picking a niche matter? Think of it this way:
Expertise: You'll become the go-to person within your niche, which strengthens your authority.
Audience Connection: People passionate about your niche are more likely to follow and engage with you.
Profit Potential: Narrowing your focus helps you understand the products that will perform well, making it easier to earn commissions
The goal is figuring out where your genuine interests overlap with things people BUY on Amazon. Grab a notebook and try these exercises:
Your Personal Faves: List 5 things you already spend money on excitedly.
Problem Solver: What kinds of products make your life easier, solve a pain point, or bring you joy?
Skills & Hobbies: Can you tie any specific knowledge or talent into product recommendations?
It's great to love something, but we need to make sure there's enough demand. Let's check out some helpful tools:
Amazon Bestsellers Lists: Check categories related to your brainstorm ideas. Are there lots of similar products? That's a good sign!
Social Media Search: Look up hashtags related to your niche. Big followings and buzz mean there's interest.
Competitor Analysis: Find a few other influencers in similar niches– this shows it's viable, and you can learn from their success
Ask yourself these questions to pick the most promising niche:
Can you consistently create content about this?
Are there enough product varieties to avoid becoming repetitive?
Is there an opportunity to become an expert in some sub-category? (Example: Not just 'beauty,' but 'makeup for sensitive skin')
Welcome to Lesson 1.3! Your social media profile is your Amazon Influencer storefront. We'll optimize it to attract your ideal audience and look professional to brands.
There's no 'one size fits all' – focus on the platform where YOUR niche audience hangs out, and where you feel comfortable creating content. You’ll use this platform to share your content as well. Just be sure to add disclaimers stating that as an Amazon Influencer you earn from qualifying commissions.
Also add hastags #ad #amazoninfluencer
Instagram: Great for visuals, ideal for beauty, fashion, lifestyle products
YouTube: Perfect for in-depth reviews, unboxings, demos
TikTok: Short-form videos, strong for trendy products, younger audiences
Others: Facebook, Pinterest can be niche-specific, do your research.
Let's nail the basics on whichever platform you choose:
Clear Profile Name: Your name or niche-related
Bio: Keywords about what you review, a hint of personality
Link: This could temporarily be your general Amazon storefront until we set up shop-specific lists later.
Consistent Branding: Similar profile pic, colors, etc., across your platforms (if you use more than one).
Let’s take the most popular platforms for influencers and highlight some best practices:
Instagram:
Utilize Reels and Stories besides regular posts – people love video!
Aesthetic matters – keep your feed visually cohesive.
YouTube:
Great thumbnails and titles will hook viewers.
Descriptions are searchable, include keywords, and don't forget affiliate links!
TikTok:
Stay on top of trends within your niche – they change fast!
Don't be afraid to show your personality and have fun.
This beats having the fanciest social media profile. Here's why:
Algorithms reward regular posting – you stay visible.
Builds trust with your audience – they know when to expect new content.
Practice Makes Progress: You'll improve your reviews with each post.
Whether you're writing on social media or directly on your Amazon storefront, your words can make the difference between clicks and scrolls. Let's learn how to turn reviews into your sales weapons!

Your first sentence needs to grab attention. Imagine someone scrolling quickly—you've got seconds to make them stop. Avoid generic stuff; try these formulas instead:
Ask a Question: 'Tired of dull kitchen knives?'
State a Surprising Benefit: 'This moisturizer made my wrinkles disappear in a week.'
Lead with Empathy: 'If you hate bulky wallets, this one's for you.'
If you need help with writing content or thinking about what kind of information you can write or talk about, I recommend two things.
Use ChatGPT to create catchy headlines for your titles or product descriptions and even review ideas. This is very helpful…believe me! What I do is I copy and paste the product information from Amazon (basically the product information and title of what the brands have online) and have GPT curate the information for me.
Use https://chat.openai.com/ or https://gemini.google.com/?hl=en (curate catchy headlines and ideas for reviews)
Second, I also read customer reviews on the Amazon brand’s page to get ideas and additional information to talk about. Again, these two strategies have helped me and my students even to this day! It’s a good hack!
Features are what the product IS, benefits are what it DOES for the customer:
Feature: 'Noise-canceling headphones'
Benefit: 'Block out distractions and focus on your work'
Always try to tie features back to a problem solved or a positive outcome.
Nobody trusts a 100% glowing review. Being honest builds credibility. You can still recommend a product even if it's not perfect:
'For the price, this camera's quality is amazing, though the battery life could be better.'
'This dress is super flattering, but I do wish it came in more colors.'
Think of words someone might search to find this type of product. Naturally weave these into your descriptions for added visibility. However...
Avoid keyword stuffing – sounds spammy, both to people and Amazon's algorithms.
Focus on a few relevant terms, don't try to cram every imaginable word in!
Even mini-stories boost engagement:
'I struggled with acne for years until I discovered this serum...'
'Imagine packing everything you need for a weekend in this compact backpack...'
Personalize it! People connect with relatable experiences.
Grab a product you already love – it can be anything. Time to rewrite its description using the techniques we discussed.
Craft a stronger opening line
Highlight both features AND benefits
Don't shy away from any minor cons
Sprinkle in a few keywords naturally
Use https://chat.openai.com/ or https://gemini.google.com/?hl=en (curate catchy headlines and ideas for reviews)
Well done! Remember, practice makes perfect. Up next, we're conquering video and photo reviews—another skill to add to your Amazon Influencer arsenal!
Welcome to Lesson 2.2! Visuals are a powerful way to showcase products and back up your written reviews. Today, you don't need pro gear; your smartphone can do wonders. Even if you choose text-only reviews, these tips will give them a polish!
Don't let fancy equipment overwhelm you. Here's what matters most:
Smartphone Camera: Most modern phones are surprisingly good in decent lighting. Clean your lens – smudges matter!
Lighting: More on this in a minute, but even natural window light beats harsh indoor lights.
Selfie-Stick or Tripod (A Must!): Keeps videos steady, great for unboxings. Can be super affordable, even mini ones.
Future Upgrades: Only invest if you truly LOVE this! Better microphones, ring lights, etc., come later.
Lighting makes or breaks product visuals. Simple is best:
Natural Light: Window on a cloudy day creates soft, even light. Harsh midday sun casts shadows – avoid it!
If You Must: Simple desk lamp bounced off a white wall is better than direct artificial light.
Avoid Shadows: You and your phone can cast distracting shadows, be aware of the angles.
TIP: Be sure to check my "Approved 3 Initial Product Reviews" under the Bonus Tab. I gave three product videos as examples.
A little effort makes your photos POP. Try these techniques:
Background: Clean counter, neutral color is ideal. No distracting clutter!
Product is the Star: Get close, capture those details shoppers want to see.
Multiple Angles: Especially handy for items like clothing, tech, etc.
Be sure to check out my first 3 initial videos from the BONUS Section tab.
"Approved 3 Initial Product Review Examples"
Long, rambling videos bore people. Aim for:
Short Intro: State the product, what problem it solves.
Show, Don't Tell: Highlight features up-close, demonstrate its action.
Your Verdict: Brief wrap-up on if you recommend it and why.
You don't need to be a filmmaker. Free apps do the basic tricks:
Trimming: Cut out long pauses, awkward bits.
Music: Most apps have royalty-free soundtracks. Keep it subtle, under your voiceover.
Text Overlays: Highlight key points, or the price – makes info easy to scan.
Apps to Try: Inshot, Capcut, VN – tons of beginner tutorials on YouTube!
Get InShot app - https://inshot.com/
There's something incredibly satisfying about seeing a product revealed for the first time. Unboxings tap into anticipation, making them popular with shoppers. Let's turn that into views for YOU!
Think of how YOU feel when watching one. It's about:
Anticipation: That buildup as the packaging comes away…'what's inside?!'
First Impressions: People trust honest 'in the moment' reactions.
Product Details: Seeing something up close reveals qualities photos can't.
Helps Decide: It lets viewers almost ‘vicariously’ experience the buy.
Keep it simple but engaging:
Clean Tabletop: Neutral backdrops, minimal clutter.
Hands in Frame: The focus is on the package being opened, not necessarily your whole body.
Good Lighting: Always! Those opening and first look moments need to be crystal clear.
Don't leave viewers hanging! A strong close matters:
Your Verdict: Is it worth it? Would you recommend it? Why/why not?
Teaser: If you're going to do a full review later, drop hints of what's to come.
Okay, you're creating great reviews, but now we need MORE EYES on them! It's time to turn casual followers into a loyal community ready to buy based on your recommendations.

We touched on this earlier, but it's SO important it deserves repeating.
Algorithms Love It: Shows you're committed, boosting your reach.
Audience Predictability: People know when to expect content and look forward to it.
Avoid Burnout: Don't promise 5 posts a day if you can't sustain it. Better to deliver reliably than ditch your plan.
Building a following isn't about 'broadcast only'. Social media thrives on interaction:
Reply to Comments: Even a simple 'thanks!' acknowledges fans.
Ask Questions: Get people talking in the comments section of your posts.
Follow, Comment, Support: Find similar-sized influencers in your niche, build community with them.
Hashtags help people OUTSIDE your following find your content. Treat them strategically:
Niche Down: Don't just use '#review.' Get specific – '#skincarereview,' '#budgettechfinds,' etc.
Research Tools: Look up hashtag volumes (how many posts use it), find those perfect sweet spots.
Keep it Relevant: Don't spam with popular but unrelated tags; annoys people & confuses the algorithm.
Utilize all your social media's features:
Instagram Reels/TikTok Duets: Jump on trends in your niche.
Lives/Q&A's: Real-time connection builds loyal fans.
Profile Links: Lead to Amazon storefront, blog (if you have one), sign-up form for future communication.
This is probably the lesson you've been waiting for! Let's demystify how your great reviews translate into actual money in your pocket.
It's actually much simpler than it sounds:
Unique Link: Amazon gives you customized links for every single product on their site.
Cookies: When someone clicks your link, a little file (cookie) tags them as 'yours' temporarily.
Purchase Window: If they buy THAT product, or sometimes ANY product, within a set timeframe, you earn a commission!
Yes, you can drop affiliate links in posts, but your storefront is POWERFUL:
Organized: Create "lists" (best makeup brushes, summer reads, etc.)
Visual: People browse it like a mini-catalog – instant inspiration to buy.
Link Central: Makes finding the exact products in your review way easier than searching Amazon itself.
Breaking rules risks losing your influencer status, SO:
Disclosure is KEY: Your audience MUST know the links are affiliate ( #ad etc.)
Don't Buy Through Own Links: Inflate sales artificially – a big no-no.
Direct Linking Restrictions: Some platforms are less strict (IG), others require you to go through your storefront.
Think of your Amazon storefront as your personalized shoppable billboard. With a few strategic moves, we'll make sure it gets seen by the RIGHT people.
Your Amazon Influencer 'dashboard' is your financial home base:
It shows how many clicks each link received
Pending, then Approved commissions as orders process
Payment Date Cycles: Amazon usually does monthly payouts
Lists are your best friend! Avoid endless, random scrolling:
Theme It: 'Summer Skincare Must-Haves,' 'Travel Gear Under $50,' 'My Everyday Makeup Routine'
Catchy List Titles: Just like writing good headlines, these get clicks.
'Shop My Latest Video': Directly ties a review to easily findable products, boosts sales.
Amazon gives you a few customization options – use them wisely:
Banner Image: Reflect your niche – beauty, gadgets, etc. Free tools like Canva make this easy.
Profile Pic: Use the same one as your social media for consistency.
'About' Section: A little personality blurb, and a reminder to FOLLOW your storefront to see more.
Never miss a chance to lead people to your store:
Primary Social Link: Top spot in your profiles, not buried among a bunch of others.
Regular Post Reminders: 'My new finds are up on my storefront – link in bio!'
Stories Highlights: Create a permanent 'Amazon Picks' Story people can always reference.
Let's maximize your link usage:
Linktree Alternatives: These let you curate a mini-site of links, so shoppers can find your latest picks, specific product types, etc.
Newsletters (If You Do It): Don't just drop articles, include a 'Store Update' section leading to new buys.
Guest Posts/Collabs: Sneak in your storefront link on features done on other sites/accounts!
They want you to succeed, so they offer influencers extra features:
Idea Lists: Curated public wishlists – people can search by niche and stumble upon YOUR favorite products.
Amazon Live: Demo products in real-time, link pops up on the broadcast for viewers! (If you're into video)"
