Frequency Separation is a process of decomposing image into different frequencies which allows us to to retouch the image in different frequencies separately. Usualy we take down the information from the image into low and high frequencies.

As high frequencies contain information about details like blemishes, spots pores etc. Low frequency is responsible for tones and colors of the image.

Frequency separation makes your work in photoshop much faster and easier. It allows you to separate the texture of an image from the tones. So It help to to fix details as well as tones without losing original texture.

At first he are going with high frequencies. High frequencies contais information about fine details, such as skin pores, hair etc. So in this lesson we going to take down all of the small details from the image.

In this lesson we are still working with frequency separation. However now we are moving to our color layer which is our low frequencies and contais such an information as colors and tones.

As we are Nearly Done with frequency separation retouch. Here's an other thing to sort out the tones. Between my low and high frequency layer, I simply create empy layer to paint on it. The face this layer is under our texture layer, let us pait to fix the tones without destroying our texture.
