About the Coach: Dave Loos, the most accomplished coach in the history of Austin Peay and the Ohio Valley Conference, celebrated his 26th season at Austin Peay and 30th season as a head coach by securing his fourth Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship. Dave Loos served as the head men's basketball coach at Austin Peay State University (APSU) in Clarksville, Tennessee, from 1990 until his retirement at the conclusion of the 2016–17 season. During his tenure, his teams achieved over 400 victories. Before joining APSU, Loos spent four seasons as the head assistant coach at Memphis State University in Memphis, Tennessee. During his college days at Memphis State, Dave Loos excelled in both basketball and baseball and was inducted into the athletic Hall of Fame in September 2002. He also earned multiple OVC Coach of the Year honors.
