The paint shooting drill is a good drill for anyone that is just starting to warm up. Whenever you warm up with your shooting, you generally want to start up close to the basket.
Around the world is another great drill where you can be able to shoot up close but also be able to shoot in different areas of the court.
Free throws are also a great way to work on your shooting form. Whenever you shoot at the free throw line, it is always important to have a routine before the shot goes. In addition, you want to have that same routine every time you shoot a free throw. In this example, my routine is basically spinning the ball in my hand without any dribble, and I always stick with this routine every time. As a result, the routine will allow you to develop a consistent shooting form every time you approach the free throw shot.
Elbow shooting is a great drill for you to be able to move around and shoot the ball. In addition, adding the spin dribble before the shot helps you to work on your catch and shoot technique.
This drill is a great drill to work on your shot coming off the dribble. You can also apply the pump fake to get defenders in the air, so you can take a dribble or two into a shot. As a shooter, you want to be able to shoot off the catch and off the dribble.
This drill is a good drill to work on your bank shots. In certain areas of the court, you can use the backboard make your shots. Bank shots are always great shots to work on and get better at.
Five spot shooting is a good drill for you to work on your mid range shots. In this drill, you shoot from five areas of the court that are around 15 feet from the basket.
