Hello everyone. Welcome to the course of Basics of cleansing formula design.

This course is run by Nikko Chemicals, a cosmetic raw material company with a long history in Japan. We are applying the cosmetic raw materials and application technology that we have cultivated through raw material manufacturing and sales to this course.

Cleansing is an item used to remove makeup. This is the first step of skincare, and it is very important. Do you know what makeup consists of? May be you use the makeup in daily life, but you don’t think that. Firstly, in this course we talk about makeup item itself. Then there are many different types of cleansing products such as toner, emulsion, oil, foam and so on. And each item has specific texture, and cleansing power. What kind of cleansing products do you use? What type of cleansing items do you like? Each type of cleansing requiring different formulation techniques. This program explains each technique, and representative ingredients, and formulation.

By the end of this course, you will have mastered the mechanism of cleansing, as well as the characteristics and ingredients of each formulation. You will become more conscious about cleansing and will be more interested in cosmetics.
