About Rose Cao & the pursuit of Floral Design passion.
Rose Cao (the real name is Cao Thi Huyen) was born in 1986. After studying in Vietnam, Rose Cao moved to Singapore to persuade higher education in finance & accounting. While taking her double degree in Accounting & Finance, she was hired by the top 50 Fortune company – Schlumberger. Her last role was an Inventory Planner where she managed the demand & supply plan for all chemicals among Asia, Russia, Australia & Middle East that distributed through Singapore.
For 5 years working there, her charm with flowers started and gradually developed into intense passion. The story begins with her wanting to kill times and relax after stressful working day as well as satisfying the love for flowers that she was always received from her then boyfriend (now her husband). She has signed up a professional floral design course that specialized in arranging fresh flowers, dried flowers to artificial flowers.
During her course, with her teacher suggestion, she submitted her design draft to Singapore Garden Festival 2016 (SGF) - is the world’s premier tropical gardening & flower show. Where she met designers who won awards at other famous garden shows were invited to participate in the SGF design exhibition.
Hard-work paid off
Responding to the efforts of nearly 8 months of going through tough rounds, competing with many strong opponents, Rose Cao and her design was named in the prestigious Leaf Magazine - The largest flower magazine in Asia. Earning the mark in the early stages, Rose Cao confidently entered the final round held at the Garden of The Bay. Here, Rose Cao became the first Vietnamese floral art designer to enter the SGF Finals and won the Silver Medal in a table floral display series.
The Flower Journey continues
As soon as she returned to Saigon, she immediately began carrying out specific tasks for her career development plan. With the desire to have more talented designers in Floral Art Community, besides always teaching regular floral design courses in her private studio in Ho Chi Minh City. She has been actively organizing floral art exhibitions to feature her student’s art works & to promote floral art to flower lovers.
Other than having offline classes to many local & international students, Rose Cao also shares many flower arrangement tutorials for free on her YouTube channel which currently has more than 10,000 subscribers. Some of her videos have more than half a million views.
One step further in Rose's career 1 year ago was to teach people from all over Vietnam, she has established her online appearance through the largest online learning platform in Vietnam. She has launched 5 online courses that covers many latest topics on floral art. And now she is working on Udemy platform to bring more international audiences into her flower journey.
