However, having the right instructor, apparatuses, and mindset will make sourdough baking much less convoluted than it may seem.
Every recipe has a creator – a Master Baker who could already smell the rich aroma of freshly-baked goods long before the first ingredients were even considered.
I’m Johan Stapelberg, and I have been perfecting my craft since 1975. I am also a founder member of the very successful franchise, Butterfield Bread, which boasted 170 bakeries. My easy-to-follow online course puts the ability to create the most magnificent sourdough bread, into the hands of every homemaker.
My culture, called Methusela 969, is between eight and twelve years old. I know of cultures that are between 80 and 100 years old. I am going to take you back 2000 years, so that you can start your own culture - one that you can use in various recipes by just tweaking it a little. We will then, together as a team, bake your very own sourdough bread. I am really excited and hope to see you soon in my first course “Sourdough Bread Masterclass”.
