You will get to learn about formal and informal ways of greeting. You will get familiar with letters ა [ʌ], ი [i], ე [e], რ [r], ს [s]. You will get to complete the phonetic task on the studied letters and learn how to ask the question “What is it?” in Georgian.

Description

The course was designed for English-speaking users (whether native or not) from anywhere in the world, who want to get acquainted with the basics of the Georgian language and writing, learn to read and distinguish the sounds of the Georgian language by ear.

The course consists of 10 structured lessons, each of which contains a short video lecture, a summary of the lecture and testing. The course also includes 3 short podcasts about the features of the Georgian language and culture.

Student of this course will become familiar with the Georgian language and gain basic knowledge of vocabulary, phonetics, grammar and conversational constructions. You will also learn how to greet, thank and say goodbye in Georgian. Also you will be able to introduce yourself and find out the price of the goods you are interested in. You will be able to count money, count to 100. You will be able to distinguish Georgian speech by ear and speak a little Georgian. In the course you will receive compact video lessons, notes (Synopsis), quick tests and podcasts.

Point A: you are interested in the Georgian language, but is afraid to start studying it/ already studying it, but does not know how it happens at AZRI school.

Point B (after completing the course):
- you will learn to write, type, read and pronounce 10 unique letters/sounds of the Georgian language;

- you will meet the AZRI school team;

- you will listen to interesting podcasts about Georgian culture;

- you will consolidate the knowledge gained during the course with the help of mini-tests after each lesson.
