What is Marma Therapy?
Marma Chikitsa (therapy) is an acupressure modality that comes from the ancient healing tradition of Ayurveda. A marma is a vital energy point located on the body where the physical body, energy body, and emotional body meet. These points are vital because they are full of prana, or vital life force and are located where there are many nerves and blood vessels.
Marma Therapy may support well-being with:
Dosha imbalances (Vata, Pitta, Kapha)
Bodily tissue imbalances (blood, plasma, muscle etc)
Balancing bodily channels such as the digestive tract
Organ health
Detoxification
Pain relief
Calming the mind and balancing emotions
Enhancing awareness
Preventative care & rejuvenation
