This Course will briefly describe on the Databases present in AWS. Please check the curriculum to get the updated course details
Here we will see what all will be covered in this section. We will have a
1. Basic understanding of RDBMS
2. Types of Relational Databases in AWS
3. Non Relational Databases
4. RDS Lab to create a Wordpress website
1. Key Features of RDS
2. Backups in RDS
3. Multi AZ, Backups and Read Replicas Lab
Lab session on Dynamo DB, Aurora and Elastic Cache will be covered in this video
Here we will go deep into the practical session of AWS Oracle RDS and will see how we can manage our RDS instance and perform Daily activities. This will also show the variations in command between an On-Premise Oracle DB instance and an AWS Oracle RDS
Practical Implementation of Integrating AWS RDS Oracle with S3
This is needed if you want to transfer RMAN Backups, AWR Report or for any other purpose too
Brief explanation of AWS DMS Service. Components of AWS DMS , Advantages of AWS DMS and Limitations of the service. This is a generic theoretical explanation of AWS DMS, which is needed before you proceed with migrating your on-premise databases to AWS RDS
Here we are migrating an Oracle database hosted in an EC2 instance to RDS Oracle. This is a Full Load Migration explained in detail. NOTE : In 23:17 minutes, the video explains about some privileges to be granted. This is required only for the DMS user (INFRA as per example) which is needed to carry out the operation. The user DMA which is used in the video, doesn't need those additional privileges to proceed with
Here we are migrating from an EC2 instance (Being considered as an On-Premise database (since we are able to login to the server), and setting up a DB server in home VMware requires many DNS changes so that the outer world can connect to the DB server.
This migration is Full Load + CDC, which means DMS would migrate the existing at first ad then ongoing changes would be replicated from the SCN captured while Full Load migration was in progress.
NOTE : Most of the time for this Migration Type, the task may not fail and the status would be "Running with errors". If the status doesn't change to "Error", please STOP the task and make necessary changes before Restarting the task again
Here we are migrating an Oracle 11G database hosted on EC2 to AWS RDS MySQL. We are using AWS SCT to carry on this migration
NOTE : This is a DEMO version on how to carry on a heterogenous migration using AWS SCT and DMS. In real-time you need to troubleshoot any complex queries which sct is unable to transform
Here we will see the practical limitations and migration On Premise Oracle database to AWS RDS using Oracle Datapump and S3 integration
Here we will install Oracle RAC in AWS using an automated tool called SkyCluster.
I would personally like to thank FlashGrid for providing me the opportunity to work on their highly available software to build Oracle RAC. Their extensive support coverage is really appreciable.
I have received responses and resolution within a very short span of time, which shows their dedication towards the support they are offering. It would be my personal recommendation to avail SkyCluster if you are planning to deploy Oracle RAC on any cloud platform. I bet you won't repent.
You can also apply for a 30 day free trial with FlashGrid SkyCluster and test your requirements
Here we will be adding and removing Disks in a DiskGroup in Oracle RAC hosted in AWS using SkyCluster. We will see how we can add an EBS volume to an existing EC2 instance.
Here we will practically see how we can open connections to AWS RDS using your own Domain name and not by using the RDS endpoint provided by AWS. We will also briefly describe how an upgrade time can be minimized to some seconds using this method.
Here we will briefly describe on the Major and minor version upgrades of databases hosted on AWS RDS. We will upgrade an Oracle 12c RDS database to 19c With regards to Auto Minor Version Upgrade, AWS usually sends a message for the update only when the upgrade is related to hardware maintenance. Other than this, AWS generally doesn't send auto-minor version upgrade notification schedule.
Here we will upgrade MySQL RDS with a minimal downtime
Here we will see how to transfer an Encrypted snapshot to another account and restore the snapshot in the other account
Here we will discuss on how lift and shift migration works with Cloud Endure
The Course will be updated as new features are introduced in AWS.
