  • Availability, Reliability, Resiliency: What's the Difference?3:20

    Welcome to the course!

Reliability is all about ensuring your cloud-based applications are not just "up and running," but that they’re performing as they should. In this course, you’ll learn how to build reliable, resilient architectures on AWS.

    Here's what you'll learn:

    • How to calculate availability and design architectures to meet specific availability requirements

    • How to properly scope and configure virtual private cloud (VPC) availability zones

    • When and how to configure and use NAT gateways

    • How to implement highly available applications using elastic load balancers (ELBs) and Auto Scaling

    • How to achieve extreme availability by using multiple AWS regions

    • The difference between active-active and active-passive failover designs, and when to use each

    • How to deploy complex architectures in minutes using CloudFormation

There's no substitute for experience. This course includes many hands-on exercises that make use of the AWS Management Console and the AWS command line interface (CLI). The only way to really learn AWS is to do it, and you'll get the most out of this course by following along with the lab activities that are carefully and clearly demonstrated in the videos.

After you finish this course, you'll have the skills to design and build reliable, highly available architectures on AWS.
