I just wanted to explain why this section gets repeated in my massage courses
Download this from the resources. There is lots to learn from this section and although I have quite a lot of this information in your resources as you go along, I want to give it all to you so that you can reference it and also study from it.
Here is how to do this stroke properly, it feels amazing when done well!
As you practice I want you to focus on applying the correct pressure. It will take some time as you develop your palpation skills but this will make your massage feel incredible to your client .
I am constantly asked what music I like to massage to. Here are a few of my favorites for you to check out.
Vive. Clinical aromatherapy Sarvetaratra
Anugama. Shamanic Dream II
Brian Eno. Thursday Afternoon
Peter Kater. Elements of Air
Road to Perdition soundtrack
Deuter. Illumination of the Heart
Olafur Arnauls. Living Room Songs
Dan Gibson. Solitudes
Deva Premal. Dakshina
Dean Evenson. Healing Sanctuary
Here is how i massage the feet and explain what should be done
Some students had asked me how I turn the client over using the towel. I will refilm this lecture when I have a massage table again( I have just moved), but I hope this gives you a bit of an idea. Also, I explain what I do when I start the massage and how I end it.
Here is the whole Relaxation Massage sequence- You can watch this as you do your massage on your friends to train. Put on some massage music and trust your training. There is no voice over here because you now should know what you need to do. It's time to 'groove in' your techniques. As i have said before, practice , practice and practice! The timing of the massage here is 45 minutes. All you need to do to make it one hour is repeat some more of the strokes slightly and you will be at one hour.
You know what it is like. You go to the gym or do some unaccustomed exercise and then are hardly able to move a day later. This is known as D.O.M.S. ( delayed onset muscle soreness), but there are a lot of myths about what it is and does massage help it?
