This is an introductory course to Avid Pro Tools, the world's leading music production software. This course will cover the basics of Pro Tools, including how to navigate and use the different features, as well as how to set up and manage a project. We will discuss how to use the digital audio workstation to record, edit, mix and master audio and music. This course will also cover the basics of MIDI and how to use it to create realistic sounding music. At the end of the course, students will have a thorough understanding of Pro Tools and its capabilities. They will be able to create their own projects and have the skills to develop their own sound. Students will be given the opportunity to apply their new skills to a variety of projects, and will receive feedback from their instructor to help refine their skills. This course is designed for beginners, with no prior experience in music production or Pro Tools necessary.
