


This course is designed to prepare students for the FAA Unmanned Aircraft General – Small (UAG) Airman Knowledge Test, commonly required for obtaining the Remote Pilot Certificate under Part 107. The course provides comprehensive coverage of the knowledge areas necessary for the safe and legal operation of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) in the National Airspace System (NAS).
Students will study key topics including FAA regulations for small UAS operations, airspace classifications, operating requirements, weather theory, aviation weather sources, aeronautical decision-making, and emergency procedures. Additional emphasis is placed on understanding visual line-of-sight requirements, crew resource management, airport operations, and communication procedures when operating near controlled airspace. The course also introduces students to risk management principles, performance limitations of small unmanned aircraft, and the effects of environmental conditions such as wind, temperature, and visibility on flight safety.
The practice exams associated with this course are structured to closely resemble the format of the FAA Part 107 knowledge test, allowing students to become familiar with the style and difficulty of the questions they will encounter on the actual exam. By completing these assessments, students can evaluate their understanding of key regulatory and operational concepts.
Upon completion of the course, students will have developed the foundational knowledge necessary to safely conduct commercial small UAS operations and to confidently attempt the FAA Remote Pilot Knowledge Test.
