Explore Autodesk Inventor 2026 to model parts and assemblies, document designs, and perform stress analysis while aligning with machining, casting, and 3D printing workflows.
Explore the Inventor 2023 home window, learn the four file types (part, assembly, drawing, presentation), and switch templates and units between English inches and metric millimeters.
Navigate the Inventor interface with the graphics and browser windows, rotate and pan models, double-click parts to reveal extrusion and revolve steps, and use the ribbon bar to change materials.
Learn to create 2D sketches in Autodesk Inventor, starting from the XY plane, using lines, circles, and dimensions, and manage sketch edits in the sketch tree.
explore types of lines in sketches, including simple lines, construction lines, and center lines, and learn how to convert between them to define reference dimensions and axes.
Explore move, trim, scale, and offset tools in Autodesk Inventor 2023-24 essential training, learning to select base points and reference points to move, trim, and scale sketches and offset geometry.
Explore the pattern command in Autodesk Inventor, creating rectangular patterns from extruded cuts and hole features, adjusting direction, flip, and spacing to generate arrays.
Create symmetric part in Autodesk Inventor by sketching a circle, extruding, and using the mirror pattern command. Add a threaded hole by extruding a cut and applying metric thread parameters.
Explore planes and sketch plans in Autodesk Inventor to understand their purpose, how to insert planes, project geometry, reference boundaries, and create sketches and use the extrude feature.
Explore how planes enable precise sketch placement in Autodesk Inventor by offsetting a plane from an existing plane, sketching circles, and using extrude or extrude cut to create holes.
Discover how to mirror an extrusion in Autodesk Inventor 2023-24 using a midplane between two faces to create a symmetric feature on the opposite side.
Learn to insert diverse planes in Autodesk Inventor by selecting edges, points, axes, and surfaces, using options like offset, parallel through a point, midplane, and tangent or normal relationships.
This Autodesk inventor course is made for the very beginners who want to learn it from very scratch.
About the instructor
Phd graduate from Busan National University Korea. Specialized in design principles and methodologies. Have done research in areas such as product design and development, design optimization and design for manufacturing. I have provided services in industry by applying my knowledge to the design of real-world products and systems. I have also taught and mentored students in design engineering in addition to their research work.
What's in the course
Autodesk Inventor is a 3D mechanical design software used to create, modify, and test product designs. In this course, you will learn the basics of the software including:
Navigating the interface and setting up a project
Creating 3D parts and assemblies
Using constraints and dimensions to control design intent
Creating detailed 2D drawings from 3D models
Rendering and animating designs for presentations
Course structure
Almost all chapter contains video lessons and practice exercises to help you assess your performance of every chapter. At the end of this course, there is a practical project where you will learn to make a Connecting Rod right from scratch including its smaller components and also you will learn to assemble it and convert the assembly and parts into manufacturing-ready drawings. you will also learn how to animate the assembly to make wonderful exploded videos to parts.
Who should enroll in this course
This course is for you if you are a student, professional or hobbyist who just wants to learn this design software.
Instructor support
Whenever you have a subject matter question you can post it in the Q&A forum and I will answer your questions as soon as possible. So, with the course, you not only get the video lessons but also quick and responsive support from the instructor.
Pre-requisites for the course
There are no pre-requisites for the course but you need to have access to Autodesk Inventor.
