Description
You get one try every year to distinguish yourself in mathematics in the Australian Maths competition and we want you to make a good impression. This is the first step for students on the road to the mathematical olympiads in Australia. The upper primary paper is the first time students take part usually in year 5 and 6.
Here we will get students familiar with the style of the exam, the timing conditions but most importantly the problem solving skills that will allow one the best chance to solve all of the problems.
Who this course is for:
- Year 5 and 6 students who want to do well on the maths competition in their first attempt
- Anyone taking 1 hour multiple choice tests
- Gifted maths students

Join me for meaningful learning that will have lasting value.
Much of the content takes a student through the experience of solving a problem from scratch, learning a concept rigorously or applying a concept to a problem. This process is filmed and presented here with basically no editing. To be truly great at maths you cannot just memorise disconnected facts you need to learn how to think and how to learn. For younger students we have the luxury of applying the things we learn in math olympiad problems. I look forward to seeing you in class!
