A brief introduction to the course
We download and install the Unity software that we will need to create our apps with augmented reality (AR)
A quick presentation of the software we're going to use for augmented reality, Unity (Part 1)
We begin to learn about this fantastic program for our Augmented Reality (AR) projects (Part 2)
Let's create our first Augmented Reality project
We're going to register an account on the official Vuforia website and create a key for our project
We use an app to scan an image of a book to use as a target image
Let's go to our account in Vuforia to create a database with the image of the book we saved
Let's choose a character from the Unity Asset Store for our Augmented Reality (AR) application
Let's see how to set up our Android smartphone to enable developer options
We do the build on an Android smartphone to test our project
We create the build for iOS and we install Xcode and test the app on a iPhone (or iPad)
We make more realistic the model on the target image by adding a shadow
The presentation of what we're going to do in this new project with images target and Vuforia
We set up the new Augmented Reality project in Unity
We go to create the Project Key for the new project and the database with the Images to recognize
We start working with the first image target of the second project, the sun
In this lesson we create the second image target with a house that appears above a lawn
In this lesson we set the third target image and insert the sea and the boat
Let's create the script with the code to make the boat move
In this lesson we are going to set up and study the script that monitors when the image is recognized and when it is lost
We set the code that will make the boat move only when the image is recognized
In this lesson we add the code to return the boat to the beginning of the sheet every time it reaches the end of it - Part 1
In this lesson we add the code to return the boat to the beginning of the sheet every time it reaches the end of it - Part 2
We create a material to make the wall invisible
Let's set up a new image target with a sports car that turn around
We create the lights for our sports car
Let's complete the effects for the lights of our sports car
In this lesson we create the script for the recognition of the image target tracking and we implement the code to make the lights appear and disappear when the image is docked or lost (Part 1)
In this lesson we create the script for the recognition of the image target tracking and we implement the code to make the lights appear and disappear when the image is docked or lost (Part 2)
Let's set a new image target, the forest
We import and set forest elements in our scene, trees, rocks, flowers, grass...
We are going to download characters from the Asset Store and insert a log splitter in our forest
We create a script that makes the woodcutter clickable
Let's set the code to start the lumberjack animation only on the click
In this lesson we lengthen the timing of the character's animation and then at the end of the animation we reset its rotation to the original position
We set a new image target, this time will be a spaceship with a flaming tail
We move the spaceship and when it reaches the end of the sheet we make it reappear at it's initial position
We import the first asteroid and make it move and go back in the original position when it reaches the end of the sheet
In this lesson we make the asteroid roll on itself and then we add a second one to the scene
Let's go back to the first image target, the one with the sun and add our earth that goes around the sun
We insert a sphere to the image target of the house that starts from the top and rolls depending on how the sheet is folded
In this lesson we create the scripts that serve to give gravity to the sphere and make it reappear in the last position it was in
We add a nice headlight effect to our car and let the rear lights flash
We are going to set the last image target for the cover of our book
We add a fire effect under the writing and also we add a subtitle
A rundown of all the image targets created in this second project
We create the image database on Vuforia and import it into our project
Let's go to Google's Blocks site to import two items for our postcard
We insert the code to make the heart spin around and we make it clickable
We put the write "Click Me" which then will disappears when clicked on the heart and we create the animation to bring the UFO down on the postcard
We show and then hide a text at the end of the animation
We set a plan and a 3D writing on the right postcard
We create the scripts to start a music every time we open the postcard and make it stop each time we close it
We add the new image to the Vuforia database and import the new target image postcard
We begin to shape our carousel, part one
The second part of the lesson in which we build our carousel
Let's start to give some movement to the carousel
We write the code to spin the light in the Base1 spheres
We create a colored roof for our carousel
We move horses through scripts
We add music that starts whenever the carousel appears
Presentation and setting up of the new project, a video viewer
We go to the Asset Store to get the 3d TV, we import it into the project and we show the first video in it
We create the buttons that will help us change the videos on the TV
We create the 3 scripts that we will need to make the three buttons start the videos on the TV
We are going to modify the scripts to be able to block the videos if they are already active
We are going to discover and use the User Defined Image Target
Let's go get a character, a zombie, and an animation where he dances and we import him into our scene
Let's set the animation for the zombie
We modify the canvas to improve the appearance of the app
We prepare the cylinder to be used for our application
Let's set up the new project for the Cylindrical Target
We create the database with the image in Vuforia and import it into Unity
We import the planes from the Asset Store into our project and run them around the cylinder
We import the zombie, we make it run and we associate the animation with the run
We make the custom settings for the new project
We set up the Ground Plane and put a robot to test
We are going to import a custom-made animation for our robot and test it again
We create the build in an iPhone 7 Plus and test it
We put a full-size car in the scene and test it with an iPhone 7 Plus by placing it in the street
First part of the lesson in which we deal with Mid Air and float a drone in the air
Let's continue with Vuforia's Mid Air lesson with Unity
Welcome to the Augmented Reality course that will teach you Unity and Vuforia taking you from zero to hero!
With this course you will learn how to use Vuforia technology with Unity and therefore to create Augmented Reality apps (also called AR apps) on phones with Android and iOS operating systems.
We will build 10 different applications with which we will see the main tools available with Vuforia for augmented reality, such as:
The Image Target
User Defined Image Target
Cylindrical Target
Ground Plane
Mid Air
AR with videos and Chroma Key
AR and virtual windows overlooking other worlds!
and many other techniques that will allow you to create incredibly realistic applications in which the reality of the phone camera will merge with the three-dimensional fantasy offered by the powerful Unity.
This is a course for everyone, both for those who already know Unity but would like to expand their skills and for those approaching the world of apps and Unity for the first time. Each topic will be explained in detail and everything done during the course will be created and tested together, nothing will be left to chance and nothing will be taken for granted.
If you want to improve your knowledge and therefore also your resume or simply want to create a new hobbie this is the course for you, sign up now, I'm sure you won't regret it ... and if for any reason you won't be satisfied with your purchase you will have the guarantee of "money back" within 30 days of purchase ... what more could you ask for?
