This short beginners guide to assertiveness will enable you to learn the principles and techniques of assertiveness. This course is intended for anyone who find themselves being disempowered by others. The course covers:

You will be guided through the principles and application of assertiveness with lectures, exercises and quizzes in which to participate.
Who this course is for:
- This course is targeted at anyone who find themselves struggling to be positively assertive with others. This may be in the form of being passive and allowing people to walk all over you, or aggressive and becoming angry when attempting to assert your views.
I am a former Senior Probation Officer with over 20 years experience working with people struggling with a variety of complex issues. In addition to my work as a life coach I am the founder and director of a social enterprise, Metanoeo CIC, which trains and supports life coaches to transform communities. I am also a lecturer at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the Psychosocial Analaysis of Offending Behaviour.
My qualifications include; PhD (Theology and Community Justice), MA Criminal Justice, BA(Hons) Community Justice, BA Bible and Theology.
I am also a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Fellow of the Institute for Training and Occupational Learning.
