Description

Welcome to Asana Adjustments for Yoga Teachers, an Estudio Korunta training designed for yoga teachers, teacher trainees, and advanced practitioners who want to teach yoga postures with greater safety, clarity, and precision.

Alignment is not about forcing every body into one fixed shape. It is about understanding the structure of each asana, observing the student carefully, and adapting the practice according to their abilities, limitations, and needs. This course gives you a solid foundation to improve your teaching, guide more conscious adjustments, and help your students practice with greater stability and a lower risk of injury.

Throughout the program, you will study more than 90 yoga asanas, reviewing essential aspects such as technique, alignment details, benefits, contraindications, variations, and modifications. This approach will help you understand each posture more deeply and develop a more professional eye as a yoga teacher.

The course is divided into two main sections. In the first part, you will explore the postures, their effects, and their possibilities for adaptation. In the second part, you will apply this knowledge through the practical study of asana adjustments, hands-on techniques, strap-assisted adjustments, and progressive demonstrations based on the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga sequence. Although the demonstrations use this sequence as a reference, the principles can be applied to other styles of yoga.

In this course, you will learn how to:

  • Understand alignment principles for more than 90 yoga poses.

  • Identify benefits, contraindications, variations, and modifications.

  • Apply yoga adjustments with greater safety, clarity, and respect.

  • Use hands and straps as teaching support tools.

  • Observe the student’s body before making an adjustment.

  • Adapt the practice to different abilities and needs.

  • Build greater confidence as a yoga teacher or instructor.

The goal is not to adjust for the sake of adjusting. A good adjustment should not display the teacher’s skill; it should benefit the student. For this reason, the course emphasizes observation, safety, adaptation, and respect for each practitioner’s body.

Upon completion, you will receive your Udemy certificate of completion, which may be used to register 5 YACEP continuing education hours with Yoga Alliance. If you would like to receive a diploma issued by Estudio Korunta – Rafael Díaz, you may request it for an additional fee of $25 USD. More information is provided inside the course.

If you want to take your asana teaching to a more precise, professional, and responsible level, this course will give you practical tools to improve how you observe, explain, adapt, and adjust yoga postures.
