Description
This Course begins with explaining Artificial Intelligence and its subfields such as Machine learning and Deep learning and its importance in today’s world. Using apt examples and illustrations, it highlights benefits of Artificial Intelligence across different industry sectors. The course explains how deployment of AI will be instrumental in attaining new milestones in various industry sectors, be it healthcare, education or legal sector. It explains the key legal issues emanating from the use of AI and challenges in adapting existing laws to this new technology. The Course answers various questions ,interalia, can AI form legally valid contracts and addresses issues of behavioral advertising. Indian and Global initiatives and perspectives with regards to AI and the need to promote ‘Responsible AI’ are explained in detail. The strategy papers of Niti Ayog in India and key developments in European Union and United States and Canada and other countries is discussed. Dr. Seth is an internationally renowned Cyberlaw Expert practicing law in the Supreme Court of India for over 22 years. She is an expert cyber trainer to Educational institutions and Law enforcement agencies in India, including judicial and police officers, senior government officials, IT professionals, lawyers, law students and academia. She has developed cyberlaw courses for University Grants Commission, and IGNOU in India and rendered 1000+ workshops, lectures, courses in academic institutions such as the National Law school, IIT, INSA, LBSNAA. She is the Country Chair -India for G100 in AI, Data and Cybersecurity, a global group of women leaders leveraging technology to solve complex global problems. She spearheads G100 for G20 mission and promotes sustainable and responsible use of AI & New Technologies. She acts as legal Advisor to the Ministry of Information Technology, Govt of India and actively contributes her expertise in various National projects. Dr. Seth is also the Founder of Seth Associates, an established law firm based in Delhi that renders legal services to both domestic and global clients. She is the President of the International Cyberlaw Academy, founded as a Global Excellence Centre for strategic policy, research & education in New and Future Technologies. She is an accomplished Author and Technology Evangelist and acts as Advisor to International organisations and Corporate Houses on New and Future Tech laws.Dr. Seth is also an accredited International Arbitrator in Arbitral institutions in India and abroad.
Dr. Seth has also founded a philanthropic organisation, Foundation For Institutional Reform & Education to promote cyberawareness , particularly to empower law enforcement, academia, student community, women and children.
Dr. Seth was conferred the Constitution Day Award by the Chief Justice of India in 2022, the Women Economic Forum’s Exceptional Women of Excellence Award 2022, the Platinum Excellence Amrit Award 2022, the Virangana Samman 2022, the Great Indian Women Award in 2021 and National Gaurav Award in 2017 for exemplary contribution to the field of cyberlaws. She received the Digital Empowerment Award in 2015 & the Law Day Award for her book, Protection of Children on Internet. She also received the Law Day Award in 2012 for her book , Computers, Internet & New Technology Laws.
She attained specialisation in Computer Science from Harvard University, holds a Doctorate in Cyber Law from NIU, and a Master’s degree in Corporate and Commercial Laws from the King’s College University of London. She graduated in Law from Delhi University.
