This session allows you to see me creating a journal page in less than 15 minutes. I talk through my complete process of how I choose the picture and the quote, how I format the page and how I allow the process to inspire the words I add to the page.
This session I take a different approach with how I create the journal page and offer some suggestions on what to do if you do not have anything in particular that you feel inspired to write.
You have completed the course - I am so happy for you! I wanted to leave you with some final thoughts and give you a "what's next" list:
It's the Process, Not Just the Outcome:
"Art journaling is all about self-expression and personal exploration. It's not about making 'perfect' art—it's about enjoying the journey and discovering new ways to connect with your emotions, thoughts, and creativity. Keep experimenting and let your journal be a safe space to express yourself!"
Remember this hobby invites Freedom:
"Your art journal is a place where there are no rules. You have the freedom to try new materials, techniques, and ideas without pressure. It's a beautiful way to allow your creativity to flow without expectations."
You Did it!:
"Look at how far you’ve come! Every page you create is a step forward in your creative journey. Even if you’re not always 'happy' with the results, remember that every page is part of your growth as an artist and storyteller."
Remember to make time for Regular Practice:
"Try to keep journaling regularly, even if it's just for a few minutes a day. Sometimes the smallest moments of creativity can lead to the most inspiring ideas. Your journal will become a reflection of your unique path, and the more you engage with it, the more rewarding it will become."
This hobby can invite Community:
"You're not alone on this journey! Share your work with others, whether it’s in our group or with friends and family. You might find that your art journaling practice sparks conversation and connections with others who appreciate your creativity."
Did you feel a sense of Curiosity and Play?:
"Don’t be afraid to play and get messy! Art journaling is the perfect place to try new things without worrying about making mistakes. Let yourself be curious and open to what the process brings."
Your old page offer Inspiration:
"If you're ever feeling stuck, revisit old pages or browse through other artists' work for inspiration. Sometimes, looking at what others are doing can spark new ideas and reignite your passion for your own journal."
Are you someone who feels a little intimidated by the idea of writing, drawing, or even the entire concept of creativity?
If so, you’re not alone. Many of us, especially as we navigate the busyness of life, feel like creativity is something only for those with a lot of time, space, or artistic talent. But what if you could rediscover your creativity in a way that feels accessible, calm, and even therapeutic?
This course is the result of years of exploring and experimenting with ways to make creativity feel simple, peaceful, and doable—even when life gets hectic. It’s designed to help you tap into your creative side with minimal fuss and space, so you can bring more peace and joy into your daily life.
Maybe you’re just discovering the world of art journaling, or perhaps you’ve been curious to try it but aren’t sure where to start. Maybe your space is limited, or you’re looking for something that can travel with you—a creative outlet you can enjoy during your lunch break or while waiting for an appointment. (Trust me, I’ve been there!)
This course is a gentle, no-pressure way to dive into art journaling, even if you're just starting or feel like you're too busy or overwhelmed.
As someone who has been art journaling for years, I can tell you: you don’t need to be a professional artist to enjoy the process. In fact, I wasn’t particularly artistic in school—I loved writing more than anything. About 14 years ago, I began experimenting with ways to art journal that didn’t feel overwhelming. I started with small, simple steps—writing, adding quotes, and including photos of ordinary moments that brought me peace. Over time, it became my creative refuge, and I want to share that with you.
In this course, each week is designed around a different theme, giving you the opportunity to reflect, create, and unwind. I’ll provide you with downloadable photos and quotes, and the space to create a journal that’s truly yours. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, but your journal will be as unique as you are—no two will look alike.
By the end of the course, you’ll have created 25-30 journal pages, each one a beautiful reflection of your journey. But more importantly, you’ll have experienced something far beyond just creating art: a sense of peace, clarity, and confidence in your creative expression. This practice will enrich your life in ways you may not expect.
You deserve this time for yourself. Let this course help you find a little more joy, a little more peace, and a little more of that creative spark you may have forgotten was always there.
